Homeschool Moms Winter Summit FAQ’s and Information

THEME
“Renew, Refresh, Restore”
The purpose of this conference is to Renew YOUR homeschool vision, Refresh YOUR heart in the middle of the winter months, and Restore YOUR strength to fulfill His call for your family. It is NOT a convention but a retreat for the weary or hungry mother just needing mid-year encouragement. We are totally walking by faith that God is orchestrating a giant blessing for those that attend this summit. We are asking for HIS grace and blessing to undergird and strengthen the families of homeschool women in the state of Oklahoma. Pray about bringing others, as we know that when we encourage others, we are often encouraged ourselves. Ask for this as a Christmas, Valentines or birthday gift. Offer to room with your fellow journeyman to save on expenses. We hope to see you there.

1:00 pm - Registration opens
2:00 – 5:00 Early-bird Workshops (at 2,3 and 4pm)
5:00 - 7:00 Dinner on your own
7:00 – 10:00 Kick-off / Opening Session
10 pm - Fellowship with friends

Saturday
7:15 – 8:00 am Get up and get going!!! (Exercise optional)
Before 9 am Breakfast on your own
9:00 – 11:30 Morning General Session
11:30 - 12:15 Break / Hotel Check-out
12:15 – 1:00 Seated lunch with special music
1:15 – 2:05 Breakout Workshop (your choice)
2:15 – 3:00 Breakout Workshop (your choice)
3:15 – 5:00 Closing General Session

REGISTRATION
As this is the first year of what we pray is an annual conference, we do not have the capability to do online registration or take credit cards at this time.

Registrations are transferable but are the responsibility of the registrant.

$25 per night with 4 people per room
$33 per night with 3 people per room
$50 per night with 2 people per room
$99 per night with 1 person per room
(Guaranteed rate until January 9, 2009)

After you have registered for the Winter Summit, be sure to call the Marriott to reserve a room. You are responsible for you own hotel room reservation. (888-809-2325 toll free) The Winter Summit registration does NOT include the cost of your hotel room. Although we have blocked off a certain number of rooms at their special conference rate of $99 per room (up to four ladies per room), we cannot guarantee availability. Ask for the “Homeschool Moms Winter Summit” discounted room rate when you call to make your reservations. If you have any challenges getting this room rate, please call Roxanne Parks at 405-514-1790. Room reservations must be guaranteed with a credit card, but may be cancelled without penalty up to 24 hours prior to check-in.

RESTRICTIONS
In order to make this conference a blessing for all those that attend, we will only allow nursing “infants”. We cannot allow nursing “toddlers” in the ballroom as they would be a darling distraction. If you have a nursing infant/toddler, we encourage you to consider bringing a family member or other care-giver so that you can enjoy the sessions without distractions.

SPEAKERS
We are continuing to firm up our final list of conference speakers. The final speakers listing and biographies will be available prior to the Winter Summit and will be emailed to those who are registered.
